Terms of Service

By playing online at petscop.org you agree to these terms, the Rules and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you can still play offline.

Who can play online

Provided as-is

The game and the website are provided as-is, without any warranty. They may change, break, lose data or go offline at any time, and we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using them. Keep copies of anything you care about. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of your country that cannot be waived.

Playing online

Your content

Anything you upload or create in the game (character sheets, drawings, chalkboard art, chat and similar) must be your own work or something you have the right to share, and must follow the Rules. You keep the rights you have in it. You allow us to store it and show it to other players in the game, for free, for as long as it is in the game. For an approved character sheet, this includes offering it to other players as a character they can pick. You can ask us to remove a sheet you uploaded at any time.

How moderation works

Reporting a player or illegal content

In the game, open the pause menu (Esc), select the player in the Connected list and choose Report.

Anyone, including people who do not play, can also report content they believe is illegal by email to info@petscop.org. Please include:

We will confirm that we got your report, review it as quickly as we can, and tell you what we decided. Content that shows child sexual abuse is removed and reported to the authorities. If someone's life or safety is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Disagreeing with a decision

If you think a moderator removed something or banned you by mistake, or you disagree with what we did about your report, email info@petscop.org within six months. Tell us your nickname, roughly when it happened and why you think the decision was wrong. A person will look at it again and reply.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something a player uploaded infringes your copyright, email info@petscop.org with: the work you own, where the copy is in the game, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement that your complaint is accurate and that you are the owner or allowed to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove content that infringes.

Logs and your data

To run and moderate multiplayer the server keeps logs of your connection, nicknames, chat and actions for 90 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. Moderators use them to handle reports and rule violations.

Rules

Loading the rules… If they don't appear, open rules.json.

In the game, open the pause menu (Esc), choose Player, then Rules to read them again. To block or report a player, select their name in the pause menu's Connected list.

Changes

We may change these terms and the Rules at any time. When the Rules change, the game shows them to you again. Continuing to play online after a change means you accept the new terms.
